Not only do we prepare students to pass exams, we also prepare them for life beyond school. In addition to striving for academic excellence we provide opportunities to develop students’ characters.
The school endeavors to holistically develop every student to their full spiritual, intellectual, emotional, physical and artistic potential.
Student leadership
We strive to provide opportunities for our students to develop as leaders. Leadership is very sought after by employers and this along with academic excellence will ensure success.
Student Council
Article 12 of the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child (1989; UN General Assembly Resolution 44/25) says, student voice is the right of students to have a say in matters that affect them in their schools, and to have their views and opinions taken seriously. It encompasses all aspects of school life and decision-making where young learners are able to make a meaningful contribution, adapted to their age and stage of development.
It stretches from informal situations in which students express an opinion to their peers or staff members to participation in democratic structures or mechanisms, such as student parliaments and consultations. We set up a student’s council where all members are elected by their peers.
Our Student Leadership programme ensures our students have a voice and every student can strive to become a member of the Student Council and ultimately get voted as Head Girl or Head Boy.
Houses
A traditional feature of British Education is the House System. As well as being in horizontal groups based on age (classes, forms, year groups, grades etc.), students are organized into vertical groups along with siblings. Here students take part in activities and healthy competition and gain points for their house.
Many of the ECAs are organized through the House System and these include opportunities for healthy competition.
Extra-Curricular Activities (ECAs)
Every half term (6 weeks) we collapse the regular timetable and have a day focusing on celebration and Extra-Curricular Activities.
Early Years Foundation Stage
Students will have a range of activities (for example dancing, arts and crafts and cookery). Through these activities students will develop their talents, confidence and values as they learn, socialize and participate in them. Students will participate, throughout the year, in a range of different activities to give them the opportunities to try different things.

A range of intra-school competitions, quizzes and exhibitions offer the opportunity for students to share their work with others and learn the values of co-operation, collaboration and mutual respect.
As the school population will be made up of students from many cultures, this will be celebrated in the form of displays around the school, Ethnic Day programs and the U.A.E. National Day program.
Secondary
Extra-Curricular activities in Key Stages Three and Four will be held for all year groups, except for students in the Board Examination classes: Grade 11 and A- Level. Some of the activities are: Football, Basketball, Volleyball, Cricket, Cookery, Quilling, Scrapbooking, Music, Dance, Science Club, Environment Club, Chess Club and Board Games, Quiz Club.

The development of speaking and listening skills is not only found in the Language lessons. All children are expected to be able to engage positively with fellow students and adults.
