Application Process
1. Registration
Registration for the academic years 2024-2025 is ongoing but we advise to apply as soon as possible as some year groups will become full soon and you will be placed on a waiting list.
Please complete the online registration & interest form to register your interest in joining SMR. This will generate an APPLICATION number, which you will need to keep safely.

To apply you will need to complete an application form and attach some documents. Once we receive the fully completed application form with all requested documents.

Transfer Certificates
Every student is required by UAE Ministry of Education Law to produce a Transfer Certificate (TC) from their last school. This is strictly enforced and failure to produce a properly completed certificate, or a legally binding undertaking to produce all the necessary documentation, will result in your child's place being withdrawn.
The Transfer Certificate (TC) must be on an official school letterhead (Your child’s current school).
The original Transfer Certificate (TC) must contain the following information:
If the student was previously studying outside the UAE, the transfer certificate must be attested from the following authorities:
- Ministry of Education (from country of TC origin)
- Ministry of Foreign Affairs (from country of TC origin)
- UAE Embassy (from country of TC origin)
For students transferring from schools within the UAE, a Ministry of Education approved Transfer Certificate is issued.
The original Transfer Certificate must be submitted at the time of admission in between. Without a Transfer Certificate the student cannot be admitted.
3. Screening
Assessments
In addition to reviewing application forms and associated documentation all applications are subject to further assessment as part of the screening process.Every child is screened to ensure we can meet the needs of every student. This is different depending on which stage the students are applying for:
FOUNDATION STAGE 1 & 2:
YEAR 3 - 9
YEAR 10 - 12
MEETING
Following the assessment, parents and students will need to meet with the respective Head of Early Years; Head of Primary or Head of Secondary to discuss the outcomes of the assessments and to find out a little bit more about the student.
Following the screening process the school will contact you with the outcome:
Parents will be given 7 working days to accept the offer; make the payment and sign the school- home agreement form. Failing to do so, the offer will be withdrawn.
6. Enrolled
Once all payments have been made and school-home agreement signed, the school will send a welcome pack with key information and dates.
Enrollment will be complete when the Transfer Certificate has been received.
